24v Solar Panels are designed for large scale solar applications such as domestic or commercial installations and can be linked in a series to create the desired voltages for grid-connect systems. 24v solar panels can range from 85 - 300w and are highly reliable for grid connect systems for homes, schools and businesses. They can also be used in 24v/48v smaller scale systems such as powering sheds, boats and large household appliances.

24v Solar Panels generate Direct Current power so to power local appliances that use Alternating Current, you would use an Solar Inverter to convert the power. All grid connect systems require a Solar Inverter to ensure the conversion of electricity is clean, direct and efficient. 24v solar panels are a convenient, environmentally friendly way of generating electricity and after they are installed, there is no on-going cost or maintenance.

Generally 24v panels have a 25 year warranty on output so are a good long term investment. They can be used for grid connect power where a bank of panels is connected to an inverter and your appliances and then to the electricity grid or as a stand-alone system. A stand-alone system has the panels connected to a regulator and battery bank before the inverter to store the power and is not connected to the electricity.
